Children First is an educational curriculum designed to help prepare parents for typical problems families encounter during the divorce and post-divorce process. It focuses on the most frequent areas of conflict and re-litigation which includes visitation, child support and custody arrangements. Children First offers divorcing parents the ability to explore the effects of divorce on children and learn healthy ways to talk to their kids about these changes. It also teaches parents what you should not say or do because it could result in harm to your children.
Divorce is a major life change that brings added stress to each member of the family. Children seem to have an especially difficult time adjusting to the changes a divorce brings to the family often feeling caught in the middle. Parents play an important role in helping their children adjust to these changes in lifestyle. Please contact 618.443-3045 for more information.
